The 40 year old and original Bosch electronic ignition system
was long past its 'sell-by-date' because electronics had moved on with
such a pace. Benelli club members recommended German company
Sachse Electronics and here you can clearly see 2 of the 3 new
ignition coils installed. The 3rd coil sits just below, transversely
mounted ahead of the cam cover. |
The obvious 2 ignition coils reside
under the fuel tank and needless to say, had different mounts to the
original. Alan fabricated new aluminum mounting plates to suit. |
The black round rubber bush at the top
of the picture is the lightly modified forward tank mount to accept the
replacement 750's tank mounts. |
