Although
based on a
1970's era GT racecar, the M6GTR was a fully functional road car
with many 'creature comforts' and road compliant suspension. Its unique
opening doors took an age to make work correctly as did designing
suitable looking and functioning pop-up headlights (lower glass covered
lamps are spots) to meet lighting regulations.
At over
160mph it was an amazingly stable and comfortable car even though the
view through the door mirrors was partly obscured by the huge rear wings
covering the 10" wide wheels. Amazingly, the interior mirror was okay,
thanks to a specially made glass rear window. |
